Constaia reads the Social Security number and name, applies the SSN structure rules and detects restrictive legends such as "Valid for work only with DHS authorization". A card without such a legend is a List C document for Form I-9.

  • A structurally valid SSN does not prove it belongs to that person. For that, use the Social Security Administration's own services or E-Verify where applicable.
  • Request the card only when a rule requires it and prefer storage "none": an SSN is highly sensitive data.

What it checks

  • National identifiers. Official checksum or format of the number (NIF, CPF, CURP, RUT, SSN…).us_ssn
  • Holder. Name, number or date of birth match what you expect.
  • Form I-9. Whether the document belongs to list A, B or C.C

Extracted fields

FAQ

Does Constaia prove the document is authentic?

No. It checks the type, data consistency and your rules, and flags signals such as a possible edit or a screen photo. That does not prove authenticity.

Is a copy of the document kept?

No, unless you ask for it. With storage "none" (the default) the file is deleted when the analysis ends.
